VIDEO: DIY Clothes Dryer Installation Tips |

DIY Clothes Dryer Installation Tips: Connecting flex hose to a dryer box Aluminum dryer flex hose is often preferred because of its safety and heat removal efficiency. To make the flex hose connect to your clothes dryer box, it is helpful to take a section of plastic pipe, lay it inside the lip of the flex hose, and roll, pressing downward. Then take scissors and cut 2 to 3 one-inch slots into the now-enlarged end of the flex hose. Spray a little adhesive to the pipe in the dryer box, slide the slightly opened end of the hose over it, and use a hose clamp to secure it in place.
